Fonts, typefases and graphic features

The two different types of font: Serif fonts eg Times Serif fonts have additional 'decoration' added . Sans   serif fonts  e.g. Ariel Sans serif fonts are without anything extra added (e.g. flicks or points on the letters).  Font family ;  different font families have different connotations of writing the same front.   Ariel; Friendly, clear, informality, rounded letters, casual, fresh, modern, contemporary. Times; Professional, sophisticated, academia, serious, gravitas, mature, history, reputation, believable. What makes a good photograph Good subject Good lighting  Good composition  Rule of thirds Centre of interest ; a photograph should have a strong focal point. Determine what it is before taking a photograph  Simplicity ; keeping compositions simple, avoiding busy background that may distract from the subject Subject off centre ; place the subject slightly off centre rather than the middle of the photo. Leading lines If a scene has strong lines, make sure the lines lead the eye into the frame rather than out of it. The lines should lead to the man points of interest.  Leading lines Viewpoint/ angles Shooting at various angles to capture different shots. Move the camera higher or lower than it usually would be. Importance of a moodboard: Mood boards are often used to portray the atmosphere of a certain product. They can include; photography style, colour palettes, typography and patterns. Mood boards are one of the very first steps taken when a product is being designed. They provide a starting inspiration along with guidelines to work on. They can be useful when organising likes and thoughts.
